CHROMOSOME 18 REGISTRY AND RESEARCH SOCIETY (EUROPE), FAMILY CONFERENCE, MILAN MARRIOTT HOTEL, VIA WASHINGTON, 66 · MILAN, 20146   ITALY, AUGUST 3-5, 2012

It’s only 25 week now until the next Chromosome 18 Registry and Research Society (Europe) conference!  Families whose children are affected by chromosome 18 disorders will gather together again from all over Europe for a weekend to learn, laugh and play together.

Dr Jannine Cody and Dr Dan Hale will be coming from The Chromosome 18 Research Centre in San Antonio, Texas to report on the latest developments. There will be presentations on communication and affected adults will share their experiences.

Childcare will be provided by a registered company for all children who attend the conference on both Saturday and Sunday. This means that parents will be able to attend all of the sessions and presentations to learn as much as possible so that they can support their children and deal with their own medical and educational professionals, and to talk to other parents about the most appropriate therapies for their children. Syndrome breakout sessions allow parents whose children are affected by the same disorders to share their experiences, while we aim to give families from each country space and time to get together to talk about opportunities and facilities in their own areas. We will provide translation services for the European languages most comfortable for families who attend.

The programme will be on the website soon, but we know that many people are looking at their travel plans and want to book their accommodation as soon as possible.

Accommodation will be €90 per night per double room on a bed and breakfast basis.

Links to enable you to register to attend the conference and to book your accommodation at the venue will be up shortly.

Flights to Malpensa, Linate or Bergamo Airports have good transport links to the city centre.

Keep checking in for more information as it comes available…
